Identify by helicopter characteristics

Below check the specific characteristics of the helicopter or eVTOL you are looking for. You can select multiple items for each characteristic. The results will be filtered automatically.

Westland Wasp

The Wasp helicopter has a front fuselage, in particular the short nose and window configuration, that reminds a bit of a locust/grasshopper thanks to the multi-facetted windows. Also typical are the four wheeled landing gear legs, extending far from the corners of the fuselage. The turboshaft engine is not covered. Note: the Westland Scout is the army version of the Wasp, with skids.

Yakovlev Yak-24

Yakovlev tried the tandem rotor design as well, but not many were built. Typical for the Yak-24 are the fixed single wheel gears placed relatively far from the fuselage. It has horizontal stabilisers with end plates, but these have dihedral. The Yak has radial piston engines in the rear fuselage.
