The classic A321 is the first of the Airbus narrow body family to have a cargo version. The first converted aircraft made its first flight on 5 February 2020 in Singapore.
The conversion programme of Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), a joint-venture between Airbus and ST Aerospace of Singapore, was launched with an order by Vallair in February 2018. Vallair has contracted Qantas as its first customer to fly the aircraft, which is to received the first aircraft in July 2020. This cargo version of the A321 is dubbed A321P2F, meaning passenger to freighter. Obviously it is easy to recognise by the large cargo door in the left front fuselage, and the absence of cain windows.
